Commander Royal Brunei Land Force
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE COMMANDER
Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan joined the Royal Brunei Armed Forces in June 1993 and undergone officer training at the Officer Cadet School, New Zealand in 1994. Upon completion, he was promoted to Second Lieutenant where he served as an Infantry Platoon Commander at the 3rd Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force. Throughout his career, he has held several command, staff and instructional appointments. His command and instructional positions vary from junior level as an Infantry Platoon Commander, Mortar Platoon Commander, Adjutant, Infantry Company Commander, Second-in-Command and Officer Commanding at the School of Infantry, Battalion Second-in-Command and Commanding Officer Infantry Battalion. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2010 and commanded 2nd Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force from 2009 and to 2011. He also served as an instructor at the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces, where he conducted various career and specialist courses for the RBAF personnel ranging from Junior Non-Commissioned Officers to Junior Commissioned Officers' courses up to the rank of Captain. He held several key staff appointments including as the Military Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Defence in 2008 and also as the Military Assistant to the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces in 2012. In the fields of training and education, Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi has attended the Intermediate Staff Course (ISC) at the Australian Land Warfare Centre in 1999, the Australian Command and Staff Course (ACSC) at the Australian Defence College in 2007 and the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in the United Kingdom from 2012 to 2013. Upon his return to Brunei Darussalam, he was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Royal Brunei Land Force in September 2013 and was later promoted to the rank of Colonel in May 2014. He was then appointed as Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force from 2014 to 2017 and as Commandant of Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces in 2018. He was promoted to Brigadier General on 24 July 2020 and took command as the Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force on 30 July 2020. Prior to his appointment he was Commandant of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces from 2019 until 2020. His other overseas career courses include Platoon Commander's Course and Mortar Officer's Course in 1997 at the School of Infantry in New Zealand, Company Tactic and Advanced Infantry Officer's Course in 2004 at the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) in the Republic of Singapore, Grade 2 Staff and Tactics' Course in 2006 at the Army Training Centre (PULADA) in Malaysia, Malaysian Joint Warfare Course in 2010 and successfully attended 8th Executive Development Programme MINDEF, Standford-NUS Executive Development in International Management in the Republic of Singapore in August 2015 and Senior Executives in National and International Security 2016 at the HARVARD Kennedy School, USA. In 2005, Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi was awarded The Excellent Service Medal (PIKB – Pingat Indah Kerja Baik) and The Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei (SMB – Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia Darjah Ketiga) in 2012 from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. In his free time, he enjoys reading and play golf. Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi is married to Ummisyafinah binti Haji Zaini and blessed with four children. |

BAKAL-BAKAL PEGAWAI KADET LELAKI DAN WANITA Tarikh bagi pendaftaran Bakal Pegawai Kadet Lelaki dan Wanita Pengambilan Ke 20 Siri 2/2020 Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei bermula pada 2 Jun 2020 hingga 25 Jun 2020. Tatacara Pendaftaran Atas Talian Memandangkan situasi pandemic COVID – 19 di Brunei Darussalam pada masa ini, dalam langkah mengurangi risiko disamping menjaga keselamatan kedua pihak Pejabat Pengambilan dan pemohon dari penularan wabak tersebut, Pejabat Pengambilan melalui Jabatanarah Keanggotaan Kementerian Pertahanan ingin memaklumkan kepada orang ramai mengenai dengan tatacara pendaftaran bakal pegawai kadet pengambilan ke 20 seperti berikut: 1. Pendaftaran dibukakan secara atas talian (Online) di laman sesawang : http://www.mindef.gov.bn 2. Pemohon hendaklah memuat turun borang permohonan, mengisi dengan lengkap risalah perseorangan dan menyertakan salinan dokumen-dokumen yang disenaraikan di dalam borang tersebut. Syarat-Syarat Kategori Pemohon yang berminat untuk menceburi kerjaya tentera hendaklah terdiri daripada dua kategori yang telah ditetapkan. 1. Syarat-Syarat Kemasukan Pemohon yang berminat untuk menceburi kerjaya tentera mestilah memenuhi syarat-syarat kemasukan yang telah di tetapkan sepertimana yang dihuraikan di bawah ini. 1. Taraf Kelamin. Pemohon mestilah berstatus bujang dan belum pernah berkahwin bagi lelaki dan bagi wanita mestilah berstatus bujang, tidak pernah berkahwin/mengandung/ melahirkan anak. 2. Umur. Pemohon hendaklah berumur di antara 18 tahun sehingga 28 tahun 0 bulan 0 hari (semasa bermulanya tarikh Badan Penauliahan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dilaksanakan). 3. Ketinggian Badan. Pemohon hendaklah mempunyai ketinggian minima 160cm (05 Kaki 03 Inci) bagi bakal Pegawai Kadet Lelaki dan minima 152cm (05 Kaki) bagi bakal Pegawai Kadet Wanita. 4. Indek Jisim Tubuh (Body Mass Index). Pemohon hendaklah mempunyai keputusan Indek Jisim Tubuh antara 19 hingga 27. 5. Kelayakan Akademik. Kelayakan minima bagi pemohon adalah Diploma Tertinggi Kebangsaan (HND) di dalam apa jua bidang yang diceburi. Kelayakan Akademik yang lebih tinggi adalah menjadi keutamaan seperti Sarjana Muda (Degree) dan Sarjana (Master). 6. Tahap Kesihatan. Pemohon dikehendaki untuk mengisi Borang Deklarasi Kesihatan dan akan menjalani pemeriksaan kelayakan kesihatan sebelum mengikuti proses pemilihan awal. Pemohon hendaklah sihat, tidak cacat anggota dan tidak mempunyai masalah kesihatan seperti penyakit kronik, masalah pernafasan, masalah jantung, masalah mental serta bekas kecederaan teruk seperti patah pada bahagian anggota tubuh badan dan sebagainya. Tidak cacat pendengaran dan penglihatan serta tidak rabun warna. Mempunyai tahap kesihatan gigi yang baik. 7. Tapisan Keselamatan. Setiap pemohon hendaklah bebas daripada sebarang kesalahan awam atau jenayah, tidak pernah disabit atau diadu, tidak pernah terlibat dengan mana-mana kesalahan yang melibatkan agensi luar seperti Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei, Mahkamah Awam dan Syariah, Biro Kawalan Narkotik, Biro Mencegah Rasuah dan sebagainya. Setiap pemohon akan menjalani Tapisan Keselamatan (Security Vetting) dan Ujian Air Kencing (UAK) yang akan dikendalikan oleh pihak ABDB. Proses Pemilihan Pemohon yang telah memenuhi syarat-syarat kategori dan kemasukan akan dipanggil bagi mengikuti Proses Pemilihan sepertimana yang dihuraikan di bawah ini. 1. Pemeriksaan Pergigian. Pemeriksaan pergigian hendaklah sihat (Fit Dental). Pemeriksaan dan keputusan ini diperiksa dan disahkan oleh Pegawai Perubatan ABDB. 2. Pemeriksaan Kesihatan.

4. Ujian Bertulis. Pemohon hendaklah lulus dalam ujian bertulis iaitu Ujian Kemahiran Bahasa Inggeris dan Ujian Psikologi. 5. Badan Penauliahan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei. Badan Penauliahan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei merupakan satu badan yang bersidang dalam pemilihan Bakal Pegawai Kadet Lelaki dan Wanita yang dikendalikan dalam jangkamasa 1 minggu. Beberapa fasa akan dilaksanakan seperti Suitability For Training, Ability To Think Rationally and Critically and Ability To Lead. 6. Badan Temuduga Akhir Pemohon yang LULUS secara keseluruhannya dan yang telah DISOKONG PENUH oleh Badan Penauliahan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei akan mengikuti Latihan Pengenalan Awal dan tempoh Kursus Pegawai Kadet selama 52 minggu di Sekolah Pegawai Kadet Akademi Pertahanan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, Kampung Tanah Jambu. ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY COMMANDER
Throughout his early service, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman had the opportunity to attend various courses abroad namely Royal Australian Navy Training Detachment on board HMS IPSWICH (1990), Midshipman Sea Training Deployment with Republic Singapore Navy (1990), International Sub-Lieutenant Course in United Kingdom (1991), Ship Diver Course in Malaysia (1994), International Principle Warfare Officer course in United Kingdom (2000), Staff Course in Pakistan and several courses attended notably Executive Development Programme (EDP) in Public Policy and Management Course in National University Singapore (2009) and attended the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College Course 34/2014 with Masters of Social Science in Malaysia. First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman held various command appointments from Commanding Officer of Coastal Patrol Craft (CPC) namely KDB PEMBURU, KDB PENYERANG and KDB PERWIRA, also commanding one of the Missile Gun Boat (MGB) KDB SETERIA. Other appointments held include Diving Officer. He assumed as RBN Fleet Commander (2011) His staff officer appointments were Military Assistant to Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (2007 to 2009), Base Commander (2010), Defence Adviser of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia (2012 to 2013) and Head of Capability Development Cell (2015). First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman was the Co-Chairman (Brunei Darussalam) of ADMM-Plus Expert Working Group (EWG) on Maritime Security together with New Zealand (2015-2017) During his chairmanship RBN had the honour to host the Field Training Exercise on Maritime Security and Counter Terrorism in 2016. On 6 March 2015, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman was appointed as the Deputy Commander of RBN before taking his current appointment as the Commander of RBN in 19 April 2019. First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman was awarded with Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia, Darjah Keempat (2008) and Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia, Darjah Ketiga (2015). On 15 July 2019, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam bestowed the Darjah Pahlawan Negara Brunei Yang Amat Perkasa (The Most Gallant Order of Pahlawan Negara Brunei) First Class (PSPNB) which carries the title 'Dato Seri Pahlawan'. First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman is married to Datin Nazatulshima binti Haji C.A. Mohamed and blessed with 03 sons and a daughter. He is into swimming, jogging and enjoys reading.

RBAF JOINT FORCE COMMANDER
Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim joined the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in February 1993 and was later commissioned in February 1994 after completing Initial Officer Training at the Royal Air Force (RAF) College, Cranwell in the United Kingdom. He later became one of the first few qualified pilots on the CASA CN235 after completing basic flying training with the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and multi-engine flying training at RAF Cranwell. In 1999 he completed the Flying Instructor’s Course with the Republic of Singapore Air Force and returned to instruct on the CASA CN235 and the Pilatus PC7 MkII.
Career highlights include being the first Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet School (OCS), Defence Academy, Programme Manager at the Centre of Science and Technology Research and Development (CSTRAD) and as the RBAF’s first Defence Attaché in Washington D.C., USA. On return to Brunei he took up the post of Commander Operations Group, RBAirF and later Deputy Commander of RBAirF. Prior to taking up his current post in April 2019, he served as the Director of Intelligence, Ministry of Defence.
Staff training has included the Royal New Zealand Air Force Junior Staff Course in 2001, the Joint Services Command and Staff College, Shrivenham, UK in 2008, the National Defence College in New Delhi, India in 2014 and the Higher Defence Course in Spain in 2016. During his time in Shrivenham and New Delhi, he took the opportunity to complete an MA in Defence Studies from King’s College London and an MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies from Madras University respectively.
He is married to Datin Noraidah binti Haji Ibrahim and they have two sons. He enjoys keeping fit by cycling and running.

SERGEANT MAJOR ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES
During his career, PW1 Awang Rashid was appointed as a Rifleman, Assistant Head of Section and Head of Section from 1994 to 1999. In 2006, he held the Company's Quatermaster until 2008 and in 2008 also being the Company Sergeant Major. In 2010 he served as Drill Sergeant Major the following year until 2013. In 2013, PW1 Awang Rashid was transferred to the Support Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces and was appointed Sergeant Major Regiment and became Sergeant Major of the Royal Brunei Land Force on 13 November 2015. During his service, PW1 Awang Rashid attended various courses such as Kursus Asas Inggeris (1993), Bakal PTB Rendah (1994), Ketua Seksyen Kursus Asas Payung Terjun (1995), Kursus Ketua Seksyen(1995), Kursus Bahasa Inggeris Teknikal (1996), Multi rope Abseilling MRA (1996), Abseil Resupply Packing & Rigging(1996), Jurulatih Kemahiran dan Pengasuh Senjata (1997), Kursus Jurulatih Kawad (1998), Platun Sarjan Kombatan(2000), Penyelia Dan Pengawas Padang Tembak (2002), Live Firing Tactical Training (2004), Kursus KKMS / RQMS(2006) Abseil & Resupply Bagi Kursus Kawad Pentadbiran (2008), Kawad & Pentadbiran PTB Kanan(2008), Watchkeeper Bagi Kursus Kawad & Pentadbiran(2008), Assistant Unit Security Officers Course(2012), Akaun Perkhidmatan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (2012). PW1 Awang Rashid was awarded the Pingat Laila Tugas (1991), Pingat Jubli Perak KDYMM (1994), Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (2009), Pingat Jubli Emas (2011), Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia Darjah Keempat,PSB (2014) dan Jubli Emas KDYMM (2018).

Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen bin Pg Haji Ali Hassan was born on 26 July 1974. He started his military career when he enlisted into the RBAF on 3 January 1994 and commissioned from the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell, United Kingdom on 9 February 1995. Upon commissioning, he was awarded the ‘Sarah Moland Memorial Prize for Outstanding Courage and Fortitude’. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDA) in Defence and Strategic Studies from Massey University, New Zealand (2011) and also a Masters of Science (M.Sc) in Defence Management from the Indonesian Defence University (2014). Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen is an Air Force Supply/Logistics Officer by vocation where he has attended various logistics courses in the United Kingdom (Supply Officer Training in 1997 and Intermediate Logistics Management Course in 2004) and Singapore (Army Advanced Logistics in 2010). Apart from logistics courses, Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen has attended other courses such as Aviation Medicine (1995), Basic Manpower (1999) both in Singapore and the Junior Staff Course, New Zealand in 2002 where he was awarded the Best International Student Award for that course. Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen has held logistics post such as the Air Force Quartermaster (1996-1997), Flight Commander Technical Supply (2001-2005) and Officer Commanding Supply Squadron (2009-2012). However, throughout his career he has had the opportunity of holding several posts outside the logistics domain such as Staff Officer Grade 3 Personnel and Admin, RB Air Force Headquarters (1998-2000), Aide-de-Camp to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (2006-2009), Officer Commanding Administration Wing, RB Air Force HQ (2012-2014), Senior Directing Staff at the RBAF Command and Staff College (2014-2016), Chief Instructor at RBAF Defence Academy and currently Director Performance Optimisation Centre. Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen had the privilege of attending the inaugural Royal Brunei Armed Forces Command and Staff Course in 2010-2011 and subsequently was selected to pursue his Masters at the Indonesian Defence University from 2012 to 2013. In recognition for his service and with the consents of His Majesty The Sultan And Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen has been bestowed the Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia Fourth Class (PSB) in 2011. Colonel (U) Pg Haji Mohd Hasreen is married to Pg Hartini, a Clinical Psychologist and is blessed with 3 sons and a daughter. He is an ardent sportsman that includes triathlon, cycling and running.
