Clik here to view. Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pg Haji Mahmud was born on 9 June 1968 and began to serve with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) on 9 December 1985. He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant on 20 December 1987 after completing Boy’s Wing Coy at Training Institute, Penanjong Garison and later pursued the Officer Cadet Course in Republic of Singapore.

Throughout his career, Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan has held various appointments as Infantry Platoon Commander, Techinical Instructor at Training Institute, SO2 G1 of Royal Brunei Service Force, SO2 and Military Assistant to Commander of RBAF and Senior Management Officer at the office of Strategy Management Mindef. Prior to assuming his current post as Acting Deputy Commander of the RBLF on 7 February 2014, Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan was the ADC to His Majesty the Sultan from 2007 until 2009.

Later in year 2010 till to date he holds other appointment as the Director at Directorate of Strategic Planning. He took the command as the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) with effect from 1 December 2014. Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan is the 9th Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces.

Throughtout his service, Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan had the opportunity to attend various courses and studies within the country and abroad. Among courses and studies that he attended was the National Diploma Engineering and Foundation Degree of Eng in Mech Eng in United Kingdom in 1989, Junior Officer Management Course in 1994, Unit Security Officers in Singapore in 1994, Combat Intelligence Officer in 1995, Bachelor of Engineering in 1997, All Arms Tactics in Pulada Malaysia in 1999, Command and Staff Course in Republic of  Singapore in 2000, Royal College of Defence Studies (London) in 2010 and Leaders in Development (US) in 2012.

Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan was conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei (D.P.M.B) Yang Amat Mulia Darjah Kedua in 2012.

By the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, he was promoted to Brigadier General on 6 February 2015. ​

On 15 August 2015, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam bestowed the Darjah Pahlawan Negara Brunei (P.S.P.N.B) Yang Amat Perkasa Darjah Pertama which carries the title Dato Seri Pahlawan.

Brigadier General Pg Dato Paduka Aminan is married to Datin Hajah Rasidah binti Haji Brahim and is blessed with three daughters.
